Description
Summary:This thesis entitled Detaching Miracles from the Divine through Scientifically-inclined Alternative Explanations aims to address the problem of the existence of miracles. In order for me to arrive at the answer, I started with reviewing the past thinkers' point of view regarding this issue, in the likes of St. Thomas Aquinas, St. Augustine, and David Hume. From here I attempted to deal with more contemporary incidents considered miraculous, and address all these through the incorporation of scientific principles. Towards the end, I have presented a new paradigm for people to ponder on in terms of the miraculous, and this is what we may call the hyperspace or the fourth spatial dimension. Through this concept, I have tried to simply present an alternative explanation for the existence of miraculous phenomena.
