This paper is about the analysis of the identity of an individual member of the texting generation here in the Philippines. I used two philosophers, namely Jean-Paul Sartre and Michel Foucault to analyze the characteristics of the individual. Since a lot of people stereotype the individual member of the texting generation based on their looks and attitudes in life and a lot don't really understand what is going on behind the individual's mind, I decided that it would be appropriate to write a paper regarding this issue. In this paper, I decided to compare and contrast Foucault and Sartre's views regarding power/knowledge and freedom and responsibility respectively and how they are applied in the lifestyles of the individual. After discussing their views, the characteristics of the individuals were analyzed using these views, thus ending up with a conclusion. 2007-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/2159 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Individuality Individualism Identity (Psychology) Personality Lifestyles Cellular telephones Philosophy
