Sixty-nine (69) endoparasites isolated from the heart, liver and intestines of galunggong were identified as a nematode, Anisakis sp.. Six (6) ectoparasites isolated from the gills were identified as Codonophilus sp., a parasitic isopod belonging to Phylum Arthropoda. Twelve (12) ectoparasites isolated from the gills of dalagang bukid were identified as Caligus spp., otherwise known as sea lice from Phylum Arthropoda as well. Galunggong had a 56.67% infection / infestation rate among its sample size of thirty (30) while the dalagang bukid had 23.33%.
