Description
Summary:This thesis aims to clarify and clear out what is poetry's relevance to existence through the visions of both the early and later Heidegger. The thesis shall delve upon the human condition wherein one loses his or her poetic life. Thus, the thesis shall provide an alternative way not only of reading Heidegger but also of understanding poetry and one's self existence. In the discussion of the thesis, the reader will have a different look on poetry and how can it change world views, truth, and the pursuit of knowledge. Thus, the presumptions against poetry should be taken aside and let an emerging understanding of the relation of poetry with one's self existence pass through in the light of Heidegger's thought.
