The thesis focuses on the topic of the Just War Traditions. The thesis progresses through the views of St. Thomas Aquinas and Michael Walzer. The paper goes through ideas of medieval thinkers such as St. Augustine then progresses through the views of Jean Elshtain among others, for the contemporary setting. The assumption made in the thesis is that we have a common understanding of what is just-to say the least, what is right and what is wrong. The proposal in the end of the thesis is to add a condition that will limit the duration of warfare that will ensure to also limit the destruction that war brings. The proposal made in the thesis is highly theoretical and will be needing future study to better strengthen the position. 2009-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/2339 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Just war doctrine War--Religious aspects-- Christianity War--oral and ethical aspects Philosophy
