Description
Summary:This study seeks to determine the factors and effects of each factor to the profitability of the creative, arts and entertainment companies in Metro Manila for the years 2009-2013. The researcher used quantitative research approaches to explore the relationships of size, growth, leverage, liquidity, and tangibility towards profitability. Based on the panel data regression test, size, growth, liquidity, and tangibility significantly affect profitability. Results also show that the industry behaves similarly like other industries such as the banking, tourism, and manufacturing sector. Also, one can conclude that proper maintenance and development of the companies' assets periodically improves profitability. This shall now be used as guide to future researchers and company managers to consider effective allocation of funds to maximize profitability and for the government and regulators to create and implement laws that greatly benefit the industry.
