Summary:Two suns: a collection of short stories is an undergraduate creative writing thesis in fiction featuring a collection of short stories that delves in ideas on life, death, family, society, and love as seen by someone with a biracial standpoint-- in this case in the perspective of a half Filipino and half Japanese person . Although this collection is written by someone biracial it is, more than anything, a personal expression and interpretation of her individual experience. The collection aims to explore her perspective of cultures through imagery, form and overall literary technique. This text aims to mimic what it feels like to be of mixed race and to relay that experience to the readers. I features 10 stories judgement of the genre will be left to the understanding of the reader, each story will be accompanied by one to two original illustration by the author. This thesis also includes a brief essay on the author's coming into writing as well as her creative process.
