| Summary: | The study investigates the levels of entrepreneurship among young entrepreneurs of Metro Manila and how it relates to their job satisfaction. This study also describes their personal characteristics, perceptions on entrepreneurship, their level of social support, how their personal characteristics relate to their level of social support, and how all these relate to their levels of entrepreneurship. This study used a quantitative approach and gathered data through the survey method, using a self-administered questionnaire as its tool. Purposive sampling was used. Respondents were one-hundred (100) food business owners from Metro Manila who were between 20 to 30 years old. Data was analyzed through one-way ANOVA. Findings show that the familial support received by young entrepreneurs is varied by their personal characteristics. However support from non-family members is not significantly varied by their personal characteristics. Of all the factors related to levels of entrepreneurship, only personal characteristics in the sense of entrepreneurial experience also varied their levels of entrepreneurship. Also, most young entrepreneurs were found to have low levels of entrepreneurship yet they could be considered successful due to having a higher net average income compared to their capital invested. Moreover, they report a heavier perception of entrepreneurships benefits over its costs, and also report a high job satisfaction. |
