Description
Summary:Mythologies and folktales are a significant part of the Philippine culture. Despite the abundance of folktales, the country lacks the exposure and knowledge in their own mythologies. This creative writing thesis intends to be an exploration of the local mythologies and a personal contribution to the country's local cultural narratives. Himig ng buhay is a musical Filipino with two acts that would last for more or less one and a half hour. It follows the Philippine deities in the current times as they are struggling to exist, attempting to fight their way to survive by making the Filipino people who are now faithfully Christians believe in them once more. At the same time, it follows various humans who are experiencing major losses in their lives.
