Summary: | The first part of this thesis discusses the background of crime fiction. This thesis discusses the development of crime fiction in Filipino literature and how crime fiction relates to the idea of moral ambiguity and the arbitrary concept of good and evil as seen in Nietzsche's on the genealogy of morals. It also discusses the technical background of the project, the coming into writing, poetics, and then the creative process and the changes in the creative output during the writing period following the thesis proposal.
The second part is the actual creative output a four-episode miniseries of Wipe the slate. The miniseries revolves around a young woman who returns to a lfe of crime she left behind years ago to eliminate anyone who can threaten her new identity. Its themes include the concept of moral ambiguity and the justification of the concept of good and evil. |
