Bioaccumulation of cobalt in the vital organs of rabbit

Accumulation of cobalt in the vital parts of the rabbits exposed to a sublethal concentration of 125 mg/kg for two weeks was determined using atomic absorption spectrophotometer. Seven organs were analyzed-liver, kidney, lungs, heart, stomach, small intestines. It was noted that cobalt accumulated mo...

It was noted that cobalt accumulated most in the liver. Rabbits exposed to 125 mg/kg cobalt concentration showed cobalt accumulation in the vital organs in the following order: liver heart kidneys large intestines small intestines stomach lungs. There were significant differences in concentration of cobalt between control and experimental groups in liver, kidneys, lungs, heart, small intestines, large intestines. Cobalt levels in stomach did not differ significantly between control and treated groups. 1992-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/3986 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Cobalt—Physiological effect Rabbits—Physiology Rabbits—Effect of chemicals on Biology
