These algae were preserved, identified and classified based on their gross morphological characteristics. Out of the nineteen species identified, two were found to belong to Division Chlorophyta with two genera, six to Phaeophyta with four genera and eleven to Rhodophyta with nine genera and all of them were economically important. Ecological factors such as water and air temperature were found to range from 29-30 degrees celcius and from 27-29 degrees celcius respectively salinity from 30.5-32.0 0/00 and pH from 6.5-7.0. The substrate was sandy-rocky and wave action was moderately strong. Among the three divisions, Rhodophyta has the greatest number of species having eleven species. 1994-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/3733 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Marine algae--Philippines--Batangas Marine algae--Morphology Biology
