Four mice were used as controls, then the remaining twelve mice were grouped into four groups containing three mice each. The mice were then sacrificed after the exposure period and the liver was processed for light microscopy.;"Results showed that the first group treated with twenty percent Emperador brandy for one week exhibited an increase in fat vacuoles in the cytoplasm. The second group treated with twenty percent Emperador brandy for two weeks showed disruption of cell membrane and decreased in fat accumulation. The group treated with twenty percent Emperador brandy for three weeks showed coalesced fat vacuoles, beginning of cell shrinkage, and increase of intercellular space. The last group treated with twenty percent Emperador brandy for four weeks showed cell shrinkage as evident by the increase of intercellular space and disruption of the hepatocyte which led to the beginnings of cirrhotic changes." 1997-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/4115 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Alcohol—Physiological effect Biology |
