Antimicrobial sensitivity testing of different feminine wash against microorganisms (Candida albicans, escherichia coli, Nisseria gonorrhoeae, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus) causing lower reproductive and urinary tract infections
Presence of antimicrobial property of different feminine wash such as Lactacyd, Nature's Touch Tawas, Feminet, Whim and Del Monte vinegar were tested against Candida albicans, Escherichia coli, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Staphylococcus aureus using the disc agar diffusion...

Sia, Rose Kristine C. Presence of antimicrobial property of different feminine wash such as Lactacyd, Nature's Touch Tawas, Feminet, Whim and Del Monte vinegar were tested against Candida albicans, Escherichia coli, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Staphylococcus aureus using the disc agar diffusion method. Results showed that vinegar did not exhibit any zone of inhibition in all test organisms. C. albicans, N. gonorrhoeae, and S. aureus were inhibited by Lactacyd, Nature's Touch Tawas, Feminet at Whim. On the other hand, E. coli and P. aeruginosa showed resistance to all of the feminine wash. Statistical analysis showed that zones of inhibition produced by the feminine washes were significantly different from the control. However, it also showed that in C. albicans, Feminet was not significantly equal. Similarly, Feminet, Tawas and Lactacyd were the same in effectiveness in S. aureus. 1998-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/4035 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Anti-infective agents Feminine hygiene products Biology |
