Arayat National Park Arayat, Pampanga from January to March of 1997. Mosses were identified and classified based on their anatomical and morphological characteristics using keys and illustrations of Bartram (1939), Del Rosario (1981) and Relon (1976). The moss species identified were the following: Taxithelium batanense Bartram, T. spurio-subtile Broth, T. ramicola Broth, Sematophyllum saproxylophilum (C.M.) Fleisch, Calymperes tenerum C.M., Hyophila rosea Williams, Barbula obscuriretis Dix, Isopterygium minutirameum (C.M.) Jaeg, Vesicularia montagnei (Bel.) Fleisch, Thuidium investe (Mitt.) Jaeg, and Fissidens braunii (C.M.) Doz & Molk. They were found to belong to 1 class, 1 order, 6 families, 9 genera, and 11 species. The ecological factors measured were temperature (centigrade), light intensity (ft. candles) and relative humidity (%). Their average values ranged from 26.4 centigrade-28.4 centigrade, 185.0 ft. candles-336.0 ft. candles, 62% - 79% humidity for Daranak Falls, Tanay, Rizal and 29.2 centigrade - 31.3 centigrade, 203.1 ft. candles - 269.1 ft. candles, and 61% - 77%, respectively, for Mt. Arayat National Park, Arayat, Pampanga.
