There seems to be few or no studies done on the significant differences in some factors like age, religious levels, religious order, nature of work and educational attainment as against political attitudes in terms of radicalism and conservatism and degree of political involvement of missionary sisters especially in the local setting. Sixty-one missionary sisters from four different active religious congregations were used as their subjects for this study. The subjects were required to answer a two-part questionnaire using a five point Likert scale which was devised by the researchers to measure political attitude and degree of political involvement for Philippine setting. There were thirty items for the first part and nine items for the second part. The first part constitute different statements on the social, political, economic and other conditions of the society. Some were generally stated while others were specifically stated. The second part was composed of different political activities which one could participate. The analysis of the data through the one-way anova revealed that there are no significant differences in the variables age, religious congregation and educational attainment as related to political attitudes. Religious level and nature of work on the other hand, were found to have significant differences in relation to political attitudes. Age, religious level, religious congregation and nature of work were the variables with significant differences as related to political involvement. Educational attainment was the only variable with no significant difference as related to involvement. In measuring the correlation of political attitude and involvement the eta coefficient was employed. The results showed the positive relation between the two. 1985-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/4017 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Nuns--Political activity Psychology
