Summary:The study shows the difference of the angular body joint kinematics of running between a control group-men's and women's track and field and a variable group-non track and field athletes of De La Salle University varsity teams. Capturing and analyzing the motion of the athletes with the use of the Peak 5 2-D Motion Analysis system results to stick figures, values for angular displacement, angular velocity, angular acceleration and relevant angular position vs. time, and vertical position vs. horizontal position graphs. The motions of body joint centers-focal locations of human movement-are observed and discussed in this study. Results show that the performance of the control group is different in several aspects compared to the variable group. Running performance between male and female athletes within the control group is also different in several aspects.
