Optical output power and efficiency characterization of a continuous wave carbon dioxide laser

A continuous wave carbon dioxide laser is characterized. The laser used is a slow axial-flow CW CO2 laser with an electrode-to-electrode distance of 63 cm and with a gas mixture composed of C02: N2: Heat at partial pressure ratio of 1:1:8. The output power and efficiency of the laser are determined...

The output power and efficiency of the laser are determined at different input currents, gas pressures and cavity lengths. The effects of varying these parameters on the laser's output power and efficiency are established experimentally. The cavity length that generated the highest optical output power is 1m at 4.81W with a pressure of 20 T orr at 24mA. 1998-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/4511 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Carbon dioxide lasers Physics
