Description
Summary:Abstract. The Land Transportation Office of the Philippines is a government organization whose services are responsive to the transport needs of the road users. They are responsible for investigating vehicle-related cases, fair adjudication of apprehension cases, registration and inspection of vehicles, licensing of qualified drivers, and issuance of plates and stickers. Due to the advent of information technology, the vast need for information to be conveyed and received efficiently and in a faster pace was needed. Accordingly, a Web Site was designed for LTO. The site is aimed to expand the efficiency, effectiveness, and expeditiousness of the office's services and information dissemination. Included are the following: LTO profile, mission statement, on-line forms, requirements and transaction processes, news releases, office locations, officers, rules and regulations, traffic and car safety. Materials used in constructing the web site came from the office's manuals, handbook and reports. The proponents worked with Ms. Arabelle Petilla of the Management Information Division.
