Summary:Yaman ng Basura is a 30 minute video documenting the life of the Estinor Family, one of the thousand families affected by the Smokey Mountain Development and Reclamation Project. This is a government project, headed by former President Fidel V. Ramos, which aimed to eliminate the garbage in Smokey Mountain, to relocate the scavenger families and to ensure them of a better future with livelihood programs and temporary and permanent housing. This documentary focuses on the point of view of the family regarding the effects of the project on their lives. It presents the story of their life in the old Smokey Mountain and their hopes and dreams for the future. It was edited using a non-linear editing machine and is presented in VHS format.
