Summary: | CAUse is a system that allows users to automatically generate use case diagrams from English requirements specification documents that can be used for requirements management for business applications. The system is able to accept declarative sentences in basic sentence patterns and some compound sentences. Concepts of Software Engineering and Natural Language Understanding were applied in the system. The system is composed of three components, namely, Natural Language Analyzer, Use Case Modeler and Use Case Diagram Generator.
Aside from the automatic generation of use case diagrams from English documents, CAUse also allows users to modify, save and print the generated use case diagrams.
The intended users, specifically software engineering students, found the CAUse System beneficial in verifying the correctness of the use case diagrams they created. Moreover, the use case diagram editor was found useful in modifying the generated use case diagram of CAUse in accordance to the preference of the end users. |
