Changes in the perception of Lasallian accountants on the accounting profession

The corporate world has been aware that the number of college students majoring in accounting has increased because of the demand for accountants, The authors of this research argue that factors like family, monetary, and job opportunities after graduation are some of the factors that led these students in taking up accounting. They administered survey questionnaires to those Lasallian accountants who passed the CPA Board Examination between 2002 to 2006 to measures and compare their perceptions on the accounting profession back as a student and currently as a professional. The data revealed that the students who have undergone the BSA Program and passed the CPA Board Examination effects a change in their perceptions on the accounting profession.
