Description
Summary:Microcontrollers are high-speed computing devices packed on a single integrated circuit that incorporates software program control. With the advent of technology, the trend has shifted towards minimization of size and mass production of such devices. As a result, designers and students no longer test the functionality of their microcontrollers and proceed immediately to project implementation.A microcontroller's functionality must be tested before any software or hardware implementation in order to save time and money during the design process. The group introduces the application of Field Programmable Gate Arrays in testing the functionality of the PIC16F877A microcontroller.
