Computer-aided instruction is effective for many reasons. One of the most important reasons is that students like learning in the environment that the computer has to offer. Another is that CAI is user-friendly and entertaining. Contrary to traditional teaching methods, CAI forces the student to remain focused on the topic at hand. In a classroom, it is easy for students to simply nod their heads every time the teacher looks in their direction. CAI programs ensure that students pay attention by constantly testing them on the information they are being taught. With the use of CAI, students will not have a hard time on pursuing their study in Applied Numerical Methods which involves a lot of different mathematical concepts which is really hard to understand.
