Ng, Carla Stephanie C. The stereotype of males is that they embody the characteristics of someone who is strong and rational while females are emotional and weak. We found out that the roles of males and females should be less traditional and more modern. Thus, practicing the egalitarian role on being more balanced. Also, both dating and married individuals are equality committed to one's partner. This study aims to find out the profile of the participants, gender difference (male and female), difference on status (dating and married), and the possible interaction effect on the four dependent variables namely relationship satisfaction, physical and emotional intimacy, excitement, and relationship boredom. The results of the study found out that there are differences between gender and relationship status on the variables and some of those differences were significant namely the difference of status on physical and emotional intimacy, gender on excitement, and status on relationship boredom. It was also noted that there was a significant difference on the interaction effects of gender and status on excitement. In addition to the results, the length of one's relationship did not have any effect on relationship boredom. 2010-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/5148 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Sex differences Intimacy (Psychology) Boredom Emotions Psychology
