This study was directed to fully understand courtship- how it is executed in today's time and if it is still significant. The researchers were interested in knowing the processes and behaviors carried out by male adolescents in the Philippines. The researchers used a qualitative design. Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) and interviews were conducted in gathering data. Samples included Filipino male adolescents who have actually gone through the process of courting someone. Open coding, Axial coding, and selective coding were administered in analyzing the data. From the data gathered, it was identified that Filipino male adolescents from both public and private schools share commonalities in the processes and behaviors of courtship. It was also found that though many of the Filipino male adolescents in this study do not believe in asking formally if they can court the girl, they still believe in the process of courtship, that it is the essence of courtship that matters. Lastly, for these young males, courtship was deemed important because it is considered as the foundation of a love relationship. Thus, all of these show that courtship has undergone minor changes through time. 2008-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/5138 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Courtship--Philippines Psychology
