Summary: | Acts of Hope for the Nation (AHON) Foundation is a non-stock, nonprofit organization that advocates for the importance of reading. AHON Foundation's programs focus on improving the quality of public elementary school education through library transformations, book distributions, and community engagement programs. AHON Foundation recruits volunteers who aid them in planning for activities for the students, conducting book drives, and serving as storytellers during the reading sessions of the organization in its partner schools. They recruit volunteers who are college students, 18 years old and above, within Metro Manila. The success of their activities heavily relies on the help of their volunteers. The organization is currently challenged by the lack of volunteers, which hinders them in fully carrying out their goals.Based on the results of the communication audit, the organization's recruitment efforts were ineffective because they lack strategies and materials that contain the right information for their target audience. In addition, the survey with the target audience showed that most of them are not aware of the organization. As a result, the proponents developed a strategic communication plan and materials that aim to provide the organization with strategies and tactics that could effectively reach their target audience, inform them about the organization and its advocacy, and persuade them to volunteer for the organization. The materials include a recruitment video, website, pamphlet, and recruitment letter. The members of the organization and selected target audience evaluated all of the materials. |
