oai:animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph:etd_bachelors-60552023-06-20T06:48:50Z Gender and attractiveness: Predictors for chance of getting hired Tan, Jerene Izabelle Aquino Lim, Grace Yao A number of studies have shown the relationship between gender, attractiveness and hiring. However, there are not much studies conducted in Philippine context. The purpose of the study is to find the relationship between these two variables and explore them further to strengthen the claims of the previous studies done in Western countries. Our results yielded that both variables are good predictors for hiring. However, attractiveness is a better predictor in chance of getting hired but the result of the Chi-square values shows no significant difference among genders on HR personnels. With the use of the quantitative method, this research aims to clear picture how attractiveness and gender can affects the hiring decision of the HR and strongly contribute to future researches about biases on hiring process. 2014-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/5540 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Discrimination in employment Psychology |
