Vista, Francis Nathan S. This research aims to reevaluate the current Republic Act No. 10083 or otherwise known as the Aurora Pacific Economic Zone and Freeport Act of 2010. The act intends to create an economic zone in Casiguran in the province of Aurora which would offer special incentives for investors that would eventually help for the betterment of the country's economy. However, several problems were raised by the concerned locals of Casiguran which involves the implementation of the project and the alleged constitutional rights that were violated by the project. A complaint was already filed by the concerned parties such as the farmers, the indigenous people, and the local government, which would be used as the parameters of determining whether or not the project is unconstitutional. The researchers traced the history of each law that protect the rights of each concerned party and also revisited several Supreme Court decisions or also known as jurisprudence to furnish reliable and well researched arguments which are grounded on different laws on the country that would eventually show the conclusion. Also, the researchers recommended a few actions that would remedy the problem. 2016-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/5647 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Economic zoning--Law and legislation--Philippines Industrial districts--Law and legislation--Philippines Law and Economics |
