Summary:Academic freedom of institutions is its autonomy from the state a violation of the matter would cause a failure to serve its purpose-- to educate. Education is one of the most important aspects of a country's development and considered as its best investment as it is a powerful instrument to bring about progress in society. The government has established law in order to provide quality education to all the citizens of the country as the highest law of the land, the Philippine Constitution, mandates them. In doing so, are the lawmakers of the society able to successfully do the task without coercion with others' right?The imposition of supposed help to the marginalized brought by the main proponent of the study the Iskolar ng Bayan Act of 2014 have established a conflicting issue, the research delves on the validity of the automatic admission imposed by the Iskolar ng Bayan Act, whether or not it is in accordance with the constitutional guarantee of academic freedom and equal protection.
