Stress has become a very important factor in everyone's health status nowadays. Stress seems to worsen or increase the risk of conditions like obesity, heart disease, Alzheimer's disease, diabetes, depression, gastrointestinal problems, and asthma. Hence, stress must be monitored and controlled constantly in order to avoid these health complications. In this study, a galvanic skin response system was used to monitor the stress level of an individual. A commercial GSR sensor was used to create an android app to measure the stress level in relation to the respondent's skin conductance readings. A text composition task was used to test the performance of the created android app against the commercial eSense Skin Response app. Three factors during the testing phase were considered: the time to complete the SMS, the length of the person's thumb and the size of the phone used.Overall, the study showed that the created app can stimulate the performance of the commercial eSense skin Response app using t-tests. The study also showed that the most significant factor that affected the stress levels of the respondents was the size of the respondent's thumb. 2016-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/14954 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Stress (Physiology)--Testing--Data processing Electrical and Electronics
