Description
Summary:This study aims to explore Laurie Lewis' Communication processes in organizational change, namely information dissemination and soliciting input. To achieve that, the researchers studied a school ”Del Carmen School of Veterans Quezon City”who has undergone a major change in the past year, which is the new K-12 curriculum, specifically the senior high school program and its chosen tracks: information communication technology (ICT) and general academic strand (GAS). Participant observations, semi-structured interviews with students and parents, and documentary analysis on the school's communication materials were conducted in order to study how the school practices these communication processes. The results showed that DCSVQC actually has a problem with information dissemination and soliciting input. They focus too much of their attention on one strand over the other and do not have make much efforts in terms of trying to gain feedback from their stakeholders. This research is here to highlight the importance of properly communicating information especially during change.
