This thesis lays a groundwork which combines textual analysis of video games as well as through social immersion, interactions and interviews in order to provide a wider cultural insight that would provide a glance towards untouched topic of video game culture in the Philippines.;"This thesis will look into gender performativity, geek masculinity, and its projection through one of the most popular MOBAS in the Philippines League of legends. Using Judith Butler's gender performance framework and a constructed video game framework. The research will analyze as to how the game through its various dynamics and characters project, subvert, and reconstruct geek masculinity.
