Salvador, Justin Roi Road accident factor prioritization is a process where a sample size of driver respondents is taken and surveyed to determine the weight of importance of the road accident factors which are established on the research. The procedure utilizes the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) to analyze the data and obtain the prioritization factors. The data gathered and processed is guided by the respondents' level of understanding of traffic signs. In this study, the driver's level of understanding of traffic signs is determined to be influenced by two factors namely, socioeconomic background and driving credentials. A good socioeconomic background and driving credentials for a respondent results to a high level of understanding. Consequently, a high level of understanding of traffic signs results to a more accurate and reliable prioritization of road accident factors. After data gathering and analysis, the researchers concluded that the prioritized road accident factors for the City of Manila is as follows: bad driving behavior, distracted drivers, lack of proper training, driver's physical and emotional state, and lack of knowledge of traffic signs. The factors mentioned are listed from the most important to the least important, respectively. 2018-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/14883 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Transportation accidents--Philippines Traffic accidents--Philippines Traffic signs and signals Transportation Engineering
