Description
Summary:This project involves the production of a short feature film that follows the story of Aaron coming out to his family for the first time. The short film starts during Aaron's annual family reunion, establishing his family's values and beliefs that will affect his decision to reach this moment of self-disclosure. In order to portray the character of Aaron effectively and without misrepresentations, pre-production will include research on gays, their relationship with their families, and their process of self-disclosure. It hopes to highlight the importance of acceptance from family to those who continue to hide in their closets. Also, to shed light on the challenge posed on an individual's beliefs and principles when accepting a family member who turns out to be a part of this community.
