Summary:This study aimed to determine how men and women business managers used the internet in the workplace. It determined if there was a significant difference on how men and women used the internet in the workplace. Five areas were examined, four of which are the functional areas of the business. These are Human Resources Management, Marketing, Business Operations, and Finance. The other one is Personal Web Usage. A total of 32 male managers and 32 female managers from medium and large scale businesses under the fast food industry within the National Capital Region served as resource persons for the study. Data analysis involved content analysis, descriptive statistics, and hypothesis test for the difference of two proportions of two populations. Results revealed that business managers used the internet for a number of purposes. The differences in the rates were attributed in gender diversity, and reasons were given based on both primary and secondary sources. It was discovered that the incremental difference are low for Human Resources Management, Marketing, and Business Operations. The male respondents affirmed greatly (55%) on the use of the internet, specifically in Finance. However, female respondents affirmed greatly (58%) on the use of internet specifically for personal use. The reasons for the differences varied and it was mostly on the purpose for the usage of the internet which both respondents diverged.
