Summary: | The profile of ceramic cottage industry entrepreneurs gave the researchers a glimpse of what they are made of. It also gave interest to know how they made themselves entrepreneurs. The topic of research was also assigned as a need for BUSIRES classes. The socio-economic characteristics of the respondents were similarly related. The study also acquired information regarding the reasons, influences and problems that the entrepreneurs face today. The self-assessment scale was measured to find out the abilities, strengths and weaknesses. The entrepreneurs studied most likely showed related views on how to run their small business. Most of them are Filipinos, married and has rated medium in abilities, strengths and weaknesses. Manageability, persuasiveness, innovativeness, knowledgeability, mobility and responsibility together with the rest of the scale were relatively moderate among the entrepreneurs. The reflection of the problem calls for the need in government assistance regarding loans on capital, training and programme for small scale entrepreneurs. As most of them lack the proper training ground on their field of endeavor, the government sector and other private agencies are their hope for inculcating better management skills. |
