This study is a materials development for a sourcebook on Autism for Clinical Psychologists and Undergraduate Psychology students. In developing the said material, a needs analysis was first conducted, followed by the development of the sourcebook and finally, evaluation. The first phase, data of which were obtained through survey questionnaires, proved the limited knowledge of Psychology students on Autism and their willingness to know more about it. The developed sourcebook, on the other hand, is composed of the two main parts: listing of institutions offering services to autistic children and a compilation of sample cases on Autism. The listing is geared towards assisting Clinical Psychologists and other professionals who may need it, in referring institutions and students for possible future studies. Information about the institutions was gathered through interviews and written materials. The most common approach utilized by schools is the holistic approach while the most common program is the Individualized Education Program (or Plan). The cases are designed to give a clear picture of an autistic child through actual cases, based on interviews with parents and progress reports supplied. The symptoms more commonly exhibited by autistic children are speech delay, non--response to calling, hyperactivity and temper tantrums. The last phase provided suggestions on how to improve the format of the sourcebook, which were followed, but the contents were retained since they were satisfactory for the evaluators. 1994-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/5999 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Autism--Handbooks, manuals, etc Behavior disorders in children Parent and child Institutional care
