Description
Summary:As the title implies, this project is designed for the primary purpose of controlling smoke through the process of ionization. This is made possible through an automated ionizer that is connected to a monitoring device called the ion-meter.The ionizer makes the air cleaner by producing negative particles to balance the number of positive and the negative ions. Example of positive ions are ions coming from cigarette smoke and negative ions are those found in fresh air. An excess of positive charged ions in a room where someone is smoking, can cause positive ion poisoning. Under these conditions, the body takes in less oxygen and releases a stress hormone called Serotonin. Over prolonged periods, judgment is impaired, reflexes are slowed down and symptoms of fatigue become evident. The ion-meter monitors the amount of positive ions in the air (of a room) through its sensor. In between the ionizer and the ion-meter, a switching device is installed. This switching device may either turn on or turn off the ionizer depending on the meter reading or amount of negative ions against its counterpart, the positive ions. We know that the negative ions must be greater than or equal to the number of positive ions.
