The growing demand for the accountancy profession to adapt to the challenges of the global economy has been emphasized by the appearance of standard setting bodies' suggestions of what an accountant should do and should possess. This paper examines the personality preference of the accountancy students of De La Salle University - Manila using the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and its conformity with the previous study in Australia Where are the 21st Century Accountants? Personality Preference in Students of Accounting : a Five Year Study, the paper also made a comparison of the findings in De La Salle University with the AICPA: the vision Project 2011 and Beyond.
