Ebron, Darlene C. Yao, Sadrina Anne A. This study sought to determine the adolescents' feelings, attributions and reactions to the experiences of exposure to domestic violence inside their homes or in their neighborhoods. Our area of concentration is in Tondo, Manila. Survey questionnaires were distributed to 600 High School students coming from two public schools. Out of these respondents, 554 claimed to being exposed to domestic violence, 32 experience it in their homes, while 522 witnessed it in their neighborhoods. There were 37 willing respondents for the interview, however, three were chosen on the basis of the following categories, a) an adolescent male who experienced domestic violence in his home, b) an adolescent female who experienced domestic violence in her home, and c) an adolescent who witnessed domestic violence in his/her neighborhood. Our study was able to show that poverty and financial instability is a significant factor to which domestic violence can be attributed. All other factors root from this because there is the need to meet the basic needs of living, and if these needs are not met, people tend to react negatively. 1998-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/6166 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Adolescents Experience Family violence Emotions Attribution (Social psychology)
