Summary: | A Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) is used in order to monitor different activities in a certain area or location. It is commonly used in providing substantial evidence in a crime scene. The purpose of the IP-CCTV system is to be able to detect and recognize persons of interest, as well as provide the heading direction and shortest path from a reference point to the location where the person of interest was last seen.
In order to design the IP-CCTV system, the location of the IP-Camera was taken in consideration in the test area for the accuracy. A Graphical User Interface (GUI) shows the heading direction, the shortest path from a reference point, and the information of the person of interest.
The recognition capability of the system highly depends on the content of the database. Database of the system is divided into four groups in order to have a faster training time for the database. The four groups are: Male With Glasses, Male Without Glasses, Female With Glasses, and Female Without Glasses.
Tests result show that the average accuracy of the four groups is 86.2844%, the highest accuracy belonging to the Female With Glasses Group with a percentage of 88.3162%. For the F-Measure, an average of 79.43% was shown by the four groups. |
