Natural causes such as wind, wave, currents and tides are the governing factors that serves as the primary agent for shoreline movement. Determining the amount of seaward or landward movement of the shoreline is important in determining the rate of shoreline change along the area therefore being able to evaluate proper mitigating measures which will mitigate unwanted shoreline movement on parts of the shoreline. In order to determine the rate of landward or seaward movement along the study area, the group established a method of overlaying shoreline positions which were created based from historical maps and satellite imagery. Digital shoreline analysis was the tool used to determine the direction of movement on parts of the shoreline. Results form the study showed that the predominant movement along the study area was seaward movement caused by human induced changes such as land reclamation. 2017-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/6508 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Coastal engineering -- Philippines -- Manila Bay Shore protection -- Philippines -- Manila Bay Coastal zone management -- Philippines -- Manila Bay Civil Engineering Hydraulic Engineering
