Description
Summary:Sining...atbp. is a video documentary that tackles the issue of commercialism in art. Specifically, it deals with the influx of commercialism in the art of the Angono painters. Angono is a small province in Rizal which is known as a town of painters since it boasts more than three hundred painters and two National Artists: one for music, and one for painting, Carlos Botong Francisco. However, with the advent of urbanization, this small town and its art is becoming more and more exposed to commercialism. This video documentary presents the view of different painters in Angono regarding art and money, whether the two can mix or not. The video documentary was shot in Video 8 format and edited in U-Matic format. It has a running time of 23 minutes and 56 seconds.
