Description
Summary:Basically, a logic analyzer is a digital troubleshooting equipment. Microelectronics revolution has set free multitude of prospective fields that an Electronics and Communication Engineering student could now venture into. Its application to the design and manufacture of a vast array of commercial products such as calculators, computer games, hardware, microwave ovens, TV sets, and the like. Its success lies mainly on the fascinating development of semiconductor integrated circuits. This venture, initiated in the Silicon Valley, now provides for practically all the basic circuits that an ECE student would be using on smallchips known as ICs. There is a particular chip, the Field Programmable Gate Array in which logic circuits can be configured into it and provide an output with a function. The group therefore aims to build a Logic Analyzer using the said device. The signals will be obtained by the data acquisition circuits. The signals would then be led to logic controls, here using the Field Programmable Gate Array, and then output the signals to the monitor.
