Sa Tawag ng Panahon Ilustre, Marian Elizabeth Robles, Cristina Tayao, Karen The video documentary running approximately 12 and a half minutes is about Muslim women residing in the Philippines. The video aims to show how modern or conservative the Muslim women are, and to what extent do they still follow their religious traditions in the aspects of marriage, career, courtship and education. It also uses the moon as a symbolism of what the women are from before, and how they cope with modern society in contrast with their religious duties. It reveals the varied opinions and views of the old and young generations of Muslim women, and also of the views of the imam or Muslim priests regarding the situation of Muslim women today. As much as the video seeks to reveal all sides of the Muslim women, limitations like their conservativeness and reluctance to say anything controversial results in the fact that although they are in a modern society, their religious obligations still prevail over their actions since they regard Islam as their way of life. 1997-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/6707 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Documentary television programs Muslims--Philippines Women, Muslim Islamic religious practice Custom, Islamic Marriage customs and rites, Islamic Sociology, Islamic Maranao (Philippine people) Communication--Social aspects Ethnology--Philippines
