The problem on boiler tubes today has become more complex due to changing trends in operation as well as the purity of water. To some extent, pollutants in water may influence corrosion if used in operation. The importance of this study is to determine the intensity of corrosion damage that each water type (deepwell water, distilled water, seawater and MWSS water) has on the tube used in boiler operation. Water samples were likewise analyzed so as to determine the minerals each sample contained -- and how it affects the boiler tube of type DIN 17175 in as far as corrosion is concerned -- at a specified temperature and pressure. Deepwell water (potable), taken from Valenzuela Metro Manila, and MWSS Water (tap) are the best water to be used in boiler operation as shown in the data and test results. 1995-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/6829 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Corrosion and anti-corrosives Water--Analysis Steam-boilers--Corrosion Chemical Engineering
