Especially now wherein wireless has already become the newest technology. Computers have become interconnected by the continuous expanding horizon of networks such as Internet, E-mail, and other BBS (Bulletin Board System). At the present, one need only to use a MODEM to connect a personal computer to telephone lines, and he can already send and receive information at a touch of a button from his computer. This thesis aims to design and implement a wireless data communication system. Its primary purpose being the exchange of data from the primary station to the secondary station over a distance using air as the medium thereby, eliminating the need for bulky communication cables and wires. It is proposed that Ultra-High Frequencies be used to lessen interference since lower frequencies are widely being used today. This thesis is aimed for uses in education, commerce, and may find application in military use. Also, with the current unavailability of communication lines, specifically in remote areas, it is the aim of this thesis to make data communication possible for the inhabitants of these areas. The group aims to build a unit consisting of a data transceiver module that will be capable of converting signals coming from the serial port of the computer terminal and transmit the said signal to another unit thus, it should also be able to revert the process for it to be able to function as a receiver. Software development will also take a big part in this thesis since it is where error detection and correction will be handled, and information flow control. 1996-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/6891 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Data transmission systems Digital communications Electronic data processing Signal processing--Digital techniques Engineering |
