Description
Summary:De La Salle University (DLSU) is a Catholic educational system in the Philippines established by the Brothers of the Christian Schools in 1911. The university dedicates itself in contributing toward the formation of able professional and future leaders of the country, and actively addressing itself to vital contemporary issues concerning Church and Nation. Inspite of the developments of the university, there is no uniformity in the use of the university signature and its application in different communication/promotional materials and environmental signages. DLSU should have guidelines regarding the proper use of its signature as well as the colleges' signatures. Therefore, a design brief booklet or an institutional identification manual for DLSU is proposed. It will provide information regarding the proper use of the university signature and all colleges' signatures as well as their applications in various communication materials and environmental signages. It will also contain guidelines ont he correct colors, typeface, proper positioning and proportion of the university and colleges' signatures. This manual will create consistency and uniformity in all communication materials that require the use of the university signatures and/or colleges' signatures. The proponents will write the content and layout the manual. An artist will draw the necessary illustrations. The target audience of this manual will be the users (from the top administration to the different colleges and departments, offices, student organizations, DLSU bookstore and printing presses) of the DLSU signature and/or colleges' signatures. It will also be useful to those who are responsible for the design of the architecture and environmental signages of the university. Our organization supervisor is Mr. Raymund Habaradas, director of Institutional Communication Office. This project will be fully funded by De La Salle University.
