Lozano, Bernice Gella Martinez, Thomas Miguel Asa Villpando, Amanda Louise Dado This study looks into the topic depression specifically on the point of view of the non-depressed spouse in a marriage. Numerous psychological studies that are conducted about depression and married life are focused on the depressed individual, which is why the researchers chose to focus on a different viewpoint for this study. They aim to uncover the impact of the depression on the family, the challenges experienced, and different coping mechanisms used by the non-depressed spouse. In addition to this, they also wish to discover the difference before and after the onset of the depression. In order to obtain the answers to their questions, the researchers chose to do a qualitative study using Thematic Analysis by Braun and Clarke (2006). They collected data from four respondents mainly two males and two females. The results showed that the depression does have a significant impact on the family, there were challenges endured by the spouse and several coping mechanisms that were used. The information gathered from this research may be useful for those facing the same predicament or looking into doing future studies on related issues. 2016-01-01T08:00:00Z text https://animorepository.dlsu.edu.ph/etd_bachelors/6970 Bachelor's Theses English Animo Repository Depression, Mental Marriage Spouses Families Adjustment (Psychology) Psychology
